Privacy Policy

OK is designed to be local-first and minimal. We collect as little data as possible.

1) Local-First Design

OK operates primarily on your device. Credits history, merchant identities, and proximity notes are stored locally unless an optional sync feature is introduced in a future version.

2) Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect financial information.
  • We do not process payments.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not track your browsing behavior.
  • We do not collect location via GPS.

3) Bluetooth Usage

OK uses Bluetooth to:

  • Discover nearby stores or users.
  • Enable on-demand exchange of proximity notes.

Bluetooth discovery does not automatically exchange personal data. Notes are exchanged only when both parties explicitly request it.

4) Camera Usage

The Camera is used exclusively for scanning QR codes to issue or redeem loyalty credits. The App does not store photos or video from your camera.

5) Profile Information

You may optionally set a display name and profile image. This information is stored locally on your device.

6) Merchant Identities

If you create a Merchant Identity, basic store information (such as name and category) is stored locally and broadcast via Bluetooth for nearby discovery.

7) Data Security

OK uses cryptographic signatures to verify credit issuance and redemption. Private keys are stored securely on your device. We cannot access your private keys.

8) Data Retention

Because OK is local-first, deleting the App may remove stored data, including credit history and notes. Future optional sync features may change this behavior.

9) Children’s Privacy

OK is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
